Data privacy information
Welcome to our website! Thank you for your interest in our company. To ensure you are comfortable with our treatment of your personal information, here is a description of what happens to your data and of the security measures we have in place to protect it. This statement also informs you about your statutory rights with respect to processing of your data.
Personally identifiable information
We do not generally require you to provide personal information when you visit our website. We record only the name of your internet service provider and the pages you open during your visit to our site. Your visit remains completely anonymous. We evaluate this information for statistical purposes only (e.g. number of times individual pages are accessed).
We only collect personal information which you submit voluntarily, e.g. as part of a contact request, registration or newsletter subscription request.
Our website is naturally encrypted to provide the best possible protection for your data.
Collection and use of personal data
Personal data (e.g. name, e-mail address) is only collected on this website if you provide it to us voluntarily, for example if you contact us, e.g. if you enter this data in an input field on our website or send it to us by e-mail. In order to be able to use some services, it is sometimes necessary to collect personal data such as name, e-mail address, address and telephone number.
Your personal data will only be used for the contact or for the purpose for which you provided it, e.g. for processing your enquiries, technical administration of the website and customer administration.
A communication of this information takes place expressly on voluntary basis and with your consent. If this involves information on communication channels (e.g. e-mail address, telephone number), you also agree that we may contact you via this communication channel in order to respond to your request.
Purpose limitation and sharing of personal information
All personal information which you provide to us during your visit to our website will only be collected, processed and used for the stated purpose. We ensure that these processes only take place in compliance with the applicable statutory legislation and/or with your consent.
We only record, process or use data for consulting, advertising or market research purposes with your prior consent. You can naturally withdraw this consent at any time.
Right to information, right of revocation and right to correction or deletion
Upon request, we can also inform you in writing whether and which personal data about you is stored.
You have the right to revoke your consent to the collection and use of personal data with effect for the future at any time.
You have the right to request the correction, deletion or blocking of your stored personal data. If legal regulations do not allow deletion, your data will instead be blocked so that they are only accessible for the purpose of mandatory legal regulations.
Our website uses “cookies” at various points. These serve to make our website more user-friendly, more effective and more secure. Cookies are small text files that are created on your computer and stored by your browser (locally on your hard drive).
Cookies enable us to analyse how visitors use our websites and allow us to adjust our contents to fit visitors’ needs more closely. They also enable us to measure the effectiveness of specific advertising and to adjust the position of advertising content to reflect aspects such as visitors’ interests.
Most of the cookies we use are “session cookies”, which are automatically deleted after your visit.
Most web browsers automatically accept cookies. If you prefer your information not to be transmitted, you can generally change the settings of your browser to prevent this. If you choose to do so, you will be able to continue using our website without limitation (exception: configurators).
Use of analysis tools (Google Analytics)
We would like to tailor the content of our websites as precisely as possible to your interests and in this way improve our offer for you. In order to identify usage preferences and particularly popular areas of the websites, we use the following analysis tool(s): Google Analytics. Below you will find information on the providers of the analysis tools we use and the opt-out option:
“This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files that are saved on your computer and allow your use of the website to be analysed. The information about your visit collected by the cookie is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and saved there. If this website has activated IP anonymisation, Google first abbreviates your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address will only be transferred to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there in exceptional cases. Google will use the information collected on behalf of the website operator to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports about your activities within this site and to provide further services for the website operator related to use of the website and Internet use. Google will under no circumstances associate the IP address transmitted by your browser within the operations of Google Analytics with other Google data. You can prevent cookies from being installed by entering the corresponding settings in your browser software. However, please note that in this case you may not be able to use the complete range of functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from recording and processing the data related to your website visit (including your IP address) generated by the cookies by downloading and installing the browser plugin from the following link. The current link is http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.”
Use of Facebook social plugins
Our website uses social plugins (hereinafter “plugins”) of the social network site facebook.com, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). These plugins can be identified by a Facebook logo or “Facebook Social Plugin” tag.
When you access a page of our website that contains one of these plugins and click the Facebook logo or tag (“button”), your browser sets up a direct connection to Facebook’s servers. The plugin content is transferred directly from Facebook to your browser, where it is integrated into the website.
Two-click activation for more data protection. When you click the plugin button, your browser activates the button and sets up a direct connection to Facebook’s servers as described above. The button is not active unless you click it. Your first click of the button therefore informs Facebook that you consent to transmission of your data to Facebook.
By activating the plugin, you inform Facebook that you have opened the corresponding page of our website. If you are logged into Facebook, Facebook can associate your website visit with your Facebook account from the moment you activate the plugin – even if you do not click the Facebook button a second time. When you interact with the plugins by clicking “Like” or posting, your browser transmits this information directly to Facebook, where it is stored.
If you do not want Facebook to collect your personal data via our website, please ensure you log out of Facebook before visiting our site. You can also install blocker plugins for your browser.
